The Mirakon system consists of 4 components: our Mirakon program, your knowledge base with its applications, your work base with your data and your configuration.
The Mirakon program makes it possible to you, as an author, to store knowledge and build applications, as well as to structure and administer data. On the other hand, for you as user, the applications are started, interpreted and implemented interactively.
The knowledge base contains knowledge and applications in the form of tables, functions, procedures, documents, dialogues and data structures. It is developed in a modular way and allows the insertion of knowledge modules from different authors.
The work base contains the data which resulted from the work of all users: Products, customers, schedules, orders, production orders, suppliers, etc.
The configuration defines your project and keeps the connection between then knowledge bases and work bases.
Two kinds of users must be differentiated:
- The Authors (you, your coworkers or your advisor) develop applications, define data structures and model existing knowledge in accordance with your specifications and the needs of the users. Authors must not necessarily be at the same time administrators.
- The Users (your coworkers and yourself) run the applications and process the data of your company (calculations, planing, configurations, offers, documentation, etc).
